The safety and security of your pets and your home are of the utmost importance. As pet owners, we understand how important this is. You can’t always take your pet with you on trips or to your workplace, but you can keep your pets together in their own comfortable, clean, safe home. You can trust that we will care for your pets as if they are our own. Whether you’re working long hours, going away for the weekend, or taking a much-needed vacation, Tranquil Trails Pet Care has you covered. We take great pleasure in seeing you return home to happy, healthy pets.
Our Professional Pet Care Specialists, vetting process, expectations, and training program set us apart from other area pet sitters and dog walkers. To learn more, visit Our Team.
Tranquil Trails Pet Care can provide you and your pets with a wide variety of pet care options to keep your pet happy and healthy while you are away. We pride ourselves on the ability to adapt to your specific needs, so please don’t hesitate to ask about customizing any of the services below to suit you and your pet’s needs.
Kennels and catteries are not suitable for every pet, and you may not want to impose on friends, family, or neighbors. Many pets feel more secure in their own home and they aren’t exposed to illnesses like kennel cough and influenza. With our drop-in or overnight pet sitting, you can be confident that your pet is in gentle, caring, honest, and reliable hands. We have experience with and are available to care for dogs, cats, rabbits, small birds, non-venomous snakes, and other small animals. We treat every pet as if they are our own.
Hiring Tranquil Trails Pet Care will allow you to relax instead of having to worry about your pets being home alone all day without a walk or potty break. We will be there to spoil your best buddy with a nice long walk, playtime, a brushing, and lots of love. You can request individual appointments or set up your very own recurring schedule through our Client Portal.
Our Tranquil Trails Hike, available on weekends and on some holidays, is a great way to change your dog’s usual routine by exploring different trails in the area. This is a great option for high-energy, physically fit dogs. Schedule hikes are listed in Events on the right.
Puppies, seniors, and pets with special needs may not be able to go on walks that are 30 minutes or longer. They don’t have the stamina but still need the mental stimulation and exercise. Age or medical conditions often mean potty breaks are needed more often. We provide enrichment visits for these pets that include a potty break, enrichment activities through play, fresh water, and loving attention.
Are you selling your home and trying to figure out what to do with your dog during open houses or home viewings? We can help! We will pick up your dog and take it for a walk, play in a park (not a dog park), or visit pet-friendly locations while you’re showing your home. The more notice we can have the better, but we can usually make arrangements to be at your home within an hour or two.
Pets in weddings. What’s not to love? Make your wedding unique and create memories with your furry family by including your pet in your wedding. When it comes to unconditional love, there’s nothing like the bond between you and your fur baby, so surely you’ll want your best four-legged friend involved in your marriage ceremony. Your Pet Care Specialist will help to keep your special day worry free by ensuring that your pet receives loving care during your wedding and reception so you can celebrate and enjoy your wedding day with your guests. Whether your pet’s role in your ceremony is large or small, we are happy to assist your needs.
Support for Animals in our Community
The Pennsylvania State Animal Response Team (PASART) is a network of government agencies, not-for-profit organizations, private businesses, and volunteers. PASART provides services at the local level through County Animal Response Teams (CART).
Tranquil Trails Pet Care supports the Carbon County Animal Response Team, first responders for animals involved in emergencies. Volunteers go through extensive training from FEMA, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and local and private agencies. If you call 911 regarding an emergency situation that includes animals (wild, house or barn fires, car accidents, horses, cattle, or pigs that are down or stuck in the mud, hoarding situations, etc.), CART will be sent to the scene.
Preparing for a disaster and responding to one is expensive and requires resources and equipment. We greatly appreciate your donations. Cash donations to purchase needed equipment and materials are also graciously welcome. If you make a donation through PASART, please specify that the donation is for the Carbon County Response Team or the donation will go to the general PASART fund.
If you adopt a pet from a local shelter or rescue during 2019, you will be eligible for a 15% discount for any of our Pet Care Services. We will donate a portion of your cost of services for 2019 to a rescue or shelter of your choice at the end of the year.
